Crawford Higgins Secures Planning Approval After Complex Design Journey

Crawford Higgins has successfully obtained planning approval for a residential alteration project designed to help clients make the most of their retirement with an enhanced sea view.

The scheme, which involved significant modifications to an existing property, faced a challenging path to approval. Multiple rounds of amendments were required before a final design could satisfy both planning requirements and the client’s vision. Despite these hurdles, the team has delivered a solution that meets expectations on all fronts.

The company praised team member Jessica N. for her role in navigating the process, highlighting her persistence and attention to detail throughout the project.

External planning expertise also played a key role. Tony Carter MSc MRTPI of Carter-Smith Planning Consultants was acknowledged for his input and support in securing the approval, contributing to what Crawford Higgins described as a “top-class service.”

Alongside the planning success, the project has also achieved conditional Building Regulations approval, allowing the development to move forward. The team is now preparing for the next phase, with work set to progress to the tender stage in the near future.
