A Festive Bear Hunt Is Coming Back to Corbridge!

Get ready to spot some furry faces around the village! The Corbridge Bear Hunt returns this December, bringing a little extra fun to the festive season.

 Following a brilliant first year in 2025, the Corbridge Bear Hunt is back from Friday 4 to Sunday 20 December 2026, inviting families, friends and visitors to explore the village in search of some very special Teddy Bears.
Organised by My Oh My Toy Shop, the first Bear Hunt brought hundreds of people out and about around Corbridge. This year, local businesses are joining in again to help make the hunt another memorable part of the village’s Christmas celebrations.

Can you find all the bears?

The idea is simple: participating shops and businesses will each have a named My Oh My Teddy Bear waiting to be discovered. Some may be tucked away inside the shops, while others might be spotted in a window.

Hunters can pick up a free leaflet from My Oh My Toy Shop and set off around the village, noting down each bear’s name and the business where it has been found. It’s a lovely way to get children involved in a festive activity, enjoy a wander around Corbridge and perhaps discover a shop they haven’t visited before.

Once the hunt is complete, leaflets must be returned to My Oh My Toy Shop by 5pm on Sunday 20 December. Everyone who takes part will receive a small reward, and completed leaflets will also be entered into a free prize draw.

There are six Teddy Bears waiting to be won: three Frankie Teddy Bears, two Bernie Teddy Bears and one Ernest Teddy Bear. The draw takes place on Tuesday 22 December, with winners contacted directly by My Oh My Toys Ltd

The Bear Hunt kicks off on Friday 4 December, the same day the Corbridge Christmas Tree Festival opens at St Andrew’s Church. Why not combine the two, enjoy the festive displays and spend some time exploring the village?
Whether it’s a family outing, a festive catch-up with friends or a chance to show visiting relatives around Corbridge, the hunt offers a fun reason to get outside, support local independent businesses and enjoy the community spirit that makes the village special at Christmas.
Best of all, it’s completely free to join in and open to all ages. Younger children are welcome to take part with help from a parent or guardian.
