Bellingham’s First and Last Brewery Raises a Glass for Men’s Mental Health
A Northumberland brewery has launched its latest bottled beer with a cause close to its heart — supporting men living with poor mental health.
First and Last Brewery, based in Bellingham, has released Where’s Your Head At?, a 4% pale ale that pairs genuine craft with genuine purpose. Brewed with a blend of rye and oats, the beer delivers a rich, satisfying malt character, while Strata and Vista hops bring lively citrus, stone fruit and herbal notes to the finish.
But it’s not just the flavour that makes this release stand out. For every pint poured and every bottle sold, the brewery will make a donation to Heart Wood — a Northumberland-based charity dedicated to helping men who are struggling with their mental health.
The beer’s name is itself a nod to the cause: a gentle prompt to check in with yourself and the people around you.
Heart Wood works across the region to provide connection, support and community for men at risk of isolation. To find out more about the charity and the work they do, visit heartwoodcharity.org.
