25 Years in business for Crawford Higgins

Crawford Higgins Associates Ltd has spent a quarter of a century serving clients across the North East and beyond.

Graeme Wakefield, managing director, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be celebrating 25 years in business.
“This milestone is a testament to the hard work of our team, the trust of our clients and our commitment to quality, innovation and integrity in everything we do.”

Founded in 2000 by Ian Crawford and Rodney Higgins, the company set out to combine technical expertise with creative design, delivering a consultancy service in surveying, project management and architecture.
Over the past 25 years, that vision has guided the company through a range of projects from residential and commercial developments to heritage restorations and public sector work.

Lee Riley, director, said: “I’m proud of the way we support local teams and businesses, as well as developing local young talent; from offering work experience placements to interested local high school pupils to supporting and mentoring degree apprenticeship pathways into full-time professional employment; we try to keep our company roots local.”

The firm operates from its Fore Street office in Hexham, alongside amrGeomatics Northern Ltd, with a multidisciplinary team of architects, surveyors, engineers, technologists and land surveyors.
The company has adapted to a number of changes in the industry, including by adopting ‘sustainable’ building practices and digital design tools.

Mark Murphy, director, said: “Looking forward, we remain committed to delivering projects that not only meet the highest standards but also positively impact the people and places we serve.”
